    3rd suspect accused of ‘car hopping’ burglary spree in Abilene arrested

    ABILENE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – A third suspect out of four in a car burglary ring here in Abilene is now in custody.

    On May 28, 2023, three victims reported that items were stolen from their vehicles. Two days later, the Abilene police investigated a shooting on East Lake Road. During the investigation, Nicholas Foreman, who was with another person named Bill Beaver, became a suspect and was arrested on an unrelated warrant. Beaver was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance. When the police searched the vehicle, they found the stolen items from the three victims, including a gun.

    During the investigation, Beaver admitted that he, Foreman, Zackary Rodriguez, and Brittany Moore decided to go “car hopping.” They traveled to the ACU area, Tequila’s Night Club, and an apartment complex on Yeomans Road. According to court documents, Moore and Foreman admitted to participating in the burglaries. Police are still looking for the fourth suspect in the burglaries.

    Brittany Moore was booked into the Taylor County Jail on July 4, 2024, charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. She was released the next day.

    Beaver was booked on November 23, 2023, and released the next day on a $20,000 bond.

    Foreman faced charges of organized criminal activity and firearm theft. The organized criminal activity charge was dropped, and he was placed on probation for firearm theft.
