A Domino’s Pizza branch in Kendall, Florida, faced immediate closure after a state health inspection revealed multiple serious violations. The inspection at the location, situated at 12225 SW 112th St., uncovered a total of 10 violations, including four categorized as High Priority.

The inspection, conducted on Tuesday, found troubling issues including wastewater from the three-compartment sink and mop sink backing up into the floor drain in the dishwashing area. Additionally, a dead roach was discovered in the floor drain at the three-compartment sink.

Food safety was also compromised. The pizza station's reach-in cooler failed to maintain proper temperatures, with shredded cheddar cheese at 47 degrees, potato tots at 46 degrees, and cooked pasta at 50 degrees. These temperatures exceed the safe limit of 41 degrees, resulting in the immediate disposal of these food items.

Another significant problem was the sanitizer solution used for wiping cloths. The solution was found to have a concentration of over 500 parts per million, far above the acceptable limit of 200 parts per million.

The Domino’s Pizza, owned by NSDI Management of West Miami-Dade, managed to reopen after addressing these issues and passing a follow-up inspection the next day.
