A 60-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Goodyear Heights, according to Akron Police.

The victim was heading east on Onondago Avenue when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle that was travelling south on Mohawk Avenue at about 2 p.m. The 60-year-old was not wearing a helmet and was ejected from his motorcycle during the crash, a release said.

He sustained head injuries and broken bones during the incident, while the driver of the vehicle was uninjured, police reported.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing. It is unknown whether or not speed or alcohol were factors in the crash, police said.
