LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a highway in Lancaster County early Tuesday morning, authorities said. Nereida Rodriguez, 28, of Washington County, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:33 a.m., according to the Lancaster County Coroner's Office. A preliminary investigation determined she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the roadway on the 3000 block of Lincoln Highway East in Leacock Township.

According to the Susquehanna Regional Police Department, on Feb. 9, 2024, officers received a call from Lancaster County Children and Youth Services regarding an infant who had been admitted to Penn State Hershey Medical Center with injuries.

(Lancaster, PA) -- A Lancaster man will serve up to six years in prison for driving away from a crash that killed a local doctor. Fifty-four-year-old Rodolfo Paradas has been sentenced to three-to-six years for fleeing from the scene of a crash that killed Dr. Steven Killough in 2021. Prosecutors say Paradas hit Killough while he was in a crosswalk near West Chestnut and Prince Streets. Killough was with Lancaster Pediatric Associates for more than 30 years.
