    City of Alachua to host annual Independence Day celebration, Largest Small-Town Fireworks Display in America

    ALACHUA, Fla. – The City of Alachua’s annual Fourth of July Celebration will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the Legacy Park Amphitheater (15400 Peggy Road). Gates will open at 5 p.m.

    Live music will be played by a local band, Whiskey Jones, and there will be several food trucks from which to purchase food and beverages on-site. The evening will conclude at about 9:30 p.m. with the Largest Small-Town Fireworks Display in America.

    Please don’t bring your pets (service animals only), glass containers, or fireworks of any kind. This is a non-smoking event.
