It’s enough to make your skin crawl.

An Albany Water crew working on the capital city’s pipes stumbled on a shocking clog in the system — a 14-foot boa constrictor that was living inside a water main, local officials say .

The workers were repairing the 48-inch water main at Tivoli Preserve on Friday when they were startled by the slithery intruder, Albany Water said on Facebook.

News of the snake’s appearance was but a footnote in the agency’s update on the repairs.

“In other news: during mobilization to the main break repair Friday the crews were encountered by a 14ft Boa Constrictor that had come from the woods to the site,” the post said.

The city called in the state Department of Environmental Conservation to remove the critter.
