Lecture series to focus on beekeeping

The Dorothy Godtland Lecture Series at the Albert Lea Art Center on May 23 will focus on the “Art of Beekeeping” by Albert Lea resident and avid beekeeper Paul Hanson.

Hanson has been a beekeeper since 1985 and has been a member of the Albert Lea Audubon Society for many years.

The event, which is free to the public, will be at the Albert Lea Art Center, 101 S. Broadway, from 7 to 8 p.m.

Hanson will speak on bees and how they are cared for. He will tell the audience all about the lives of bees. He will also be bringing some bee equipment with him.
