JACKSON, MI – A major drug-treatment and housing program will grow this year thanks to a substantial boost in state funding. Andy’s Place – an apartment community for those in need of substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services – received about $3 million in funding support from the 2025 Michigan state budget.
Marshall better equipped for severe bleeding emergencies thanks to new kits from Oaklawn
MARSHALL — The city of Marshall and the Marshall Fire Department are now better equipped to respond to severe bleeding emergencies, thanks to Oaklawn Medical Group. On Sunday, Oaklawn distributed 28 bleeding control kits to the city and its fire department for use in service vehicles, including the department of public works, electric department, water department, wastewater department and dial-a-ride.
