White Pigeon's Lane a great fit for Olivet football
WHITE PIGEON — Caleb Lane is ready to get the next portion of his academic and football careers going. The White Pigeon graduate will be continuing both of those with the University of Olivet following the completion of the summer. Lane was a big part of the recent resurgence of White Pigeon football, which has seen the Chiefs earn three consecutive district championships. In those three combined seasons, White Pigeon posted a record of 29-7.
Tate chosen to Academic All-District Team
SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Caleb Tate was named to the 2024 Academic All-District Men's All-Large Team. The 2024 Academic All-District Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Players nominated for the CSC All-District Team were starters or key reserves with cumulative grade point averages of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Each nominated student-athlete was at their current college or university for at least one academic year. SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – A pair from the Spring Arbor University women's bowling team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. Earning the distinction from SAU were Emily Pepper and Devon Thomas . Pepper, a senior social work major, was named to the All-Crossroads League First Team this past season. She helped lead the Cougars to their third straight league title while posting a 180.1 average.
