LANSING, MI -- Michigan marijuana regulators know some vaping products contain a potentially harmful ingredient, but they don’t plan to test for it until October. That’s when new testing requirements will begin for medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil, an ingredient often derived from coconut or palm oil, according to the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA).

OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 3, 2024) – For the second time in six days, a sheriff’s deputy in Michigan will be laid to rest. Funeral services for William “Bill” Butler Jr. will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Hillsdale College Christ Chapel. The 51-year-old Hillsdale County deputy died after being shot by a suspect last Thursday. The suspect, 34-year-old Eric Fiddler of Jonesville, who had been wanted on several warrants, died in a shootout with police about four hours later. It’s the first time since 1930 a Hillsdale County police officer has died in the line of duty.
