    BernCo, City of Albuquerque asking for input on how to spend opioid settlement funding

    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Residents living in Bernalillo County can give their input on what to do with $27.5 million. Bernalillo County and the City of Albuquerque received millions of dollars from an opioid settlement. The city and county must spend the funds on programming and policies to address the harms caused by the opioid overdose crisis.

    Ice arena in Santa Fe closes due to mechanical issues

    They are hosting a series of town hall meetings for public input on developing a strategic plan. One of the meetings will be on Thursday at the Manzano Mesa Multi-Generational Center (501 Elizabeth St. SE., Albuquerque) beginning at 5 p.m.

    There will be two other meetings in Albuquerque as well:

    • July 31, Patrick J. Baca Library, 8081 Central Ave. NW., 5-8 p.m.
    • August 3, International District Library, 7601 Central Ave. NE., 12:30-3:30 p.m.
