Little Rock man pleads guilty to federal firearms violation in Texas
BEAUMONT, Texas — A Little Rock, Arkansas, man has pleaded guilty to a federal firearms violation in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs. Jajuan Lee Bonds, 23, pleaded guilty to possession of a machine gun before U.S. Magistrate Judge Christine L. Stetson on July 2, 2024. According to information presented in court, on July 21, 2022, an officer with the Corrigan Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Bonds. The officer observed what appeared to be marijuana in a clear plastic baggie in the vehicle. During a search, the officer located a firearm outfitted with a machine gun conversion device, commonly referred to as a “Glock Switch.” The modified handgun had been previously reported stolen.

Fordyce Survivors Fund Now Accepting Donations
A fund for those who survived the devastating mass shooting in Fordyce on June 21 has been created by the Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF). “Like so many, we are shocked and saddened by this terrible tragedy.
