The 3rd annual Half Pint 5k race will be held next Saturday, July 27th, at the Pangle Pavilion in downtown Lima. This year's theme is Christmas in July, and a portion of the proceeds will help fund the Christmas Cheer event organized by the Allen County Veterans Service Commission.

Shawnee Township Fire Department quickly contains nitric acid spill
SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP, OH (WLIO) - Shawnee Township Fire Department acted quickly to clean up a nitric acid spill leaking from a truck earlier on Friday. Just before 10:30 a.m., firefighters were called out to Buckeye and Fort Amanda roads for two pools of acid spilled when the truck started and stopped on the road. The truck driver was able to shut off the leak on Buckeye Road.

LIMA — The Allen County Museum will open its last temporary exhibition of the year, “The Art of Domesticity” on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 620 W. Market St. in Lima. The exhibition will share contemporary art from five women artists, as well as decorative arts from the 19th and 20th centuries, with a lecture series starting in September and workshops starting in October to go with it.
