An animal shelter reported that over 25 dogs were rescued from an Ohio home that was in a deplorable condition, located in Hubbard Township. According to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, the 26 dogs and their elderly owner were discovered living in appalling conditions. Lima Fire Department extinguishes train car fire
LIMA — The Lima Fire Department responded to a train car on fire Thursday evening, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page. Firefighters were initially called at 7:45 p.m. to the vicinity of East Pearl and North Jackson Streets to respond to a report of a fire in a train car reportedly carrying coal. When responders did not find anything at that location, they moved to the rail yard off Robb Avenue, where they found the train car, according to the department.
