Boozy B’s to close permanently next month
WILKES-BARRE — Boozy B’s, a popular alcohol infused ice cream shop downtown, announced Tuesday that it will be closing its doors on Aug. 24. Edwardsville man charged with pushing cop down stairs
An Edwardsville man is jailed without bail after punching an officer in the face and pushing her down a flight of stairs on Monday afternoon, police said. Joshua Hall, 42, of 557 Garfield St., is facing aggravated assault charges following a disturbance reported at his home shortly after 3 p.m. Monday.

LOCK HAVEN—Prior to the regular bi-weekly Lock Haven City Council meeting Monday night, an executive session was held with representatives from city-hired attorneys Eckert Seamans to discuss matters relating to the potential consolidation of local water systems. At the beginning of the 7 o’clock council meeting, Mayor Joel Long mentioned that the executive session was held and stated that there were discussions regarding “potential legal issues” throughout the consolidation process. No further information was provided due to exceptions under the Sunshine Act that allow for discussions to be held privately when they pertain to legal advice or real estate transactions.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Nine Bloomsburg student-athletes have earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large honors. Matt Pulcinella (Chadds Ford, Pa./Garnet Valley) from the men's golf team earned his first career CSC Academic All-District distinction after recording an average score of 81.6 in 12 rounds during the 2023-24 season.
