    Video: Local officers save kitten trapped in recliner chair

    ALLIANCE, Ohio (WJW) – Alliance first responders sprung into action to rescue a kitten that found itself in an unexpected predicament.

    According to the Alliance Police Department, officers Bob Rajcan and Tye Lauener were dispatched to a home on Summit Street after a kitten became trapped in an electric reclining chair on Tuesday.

    When officers arrived, they found the kitten stuck with its fur and skinned caught in the gears.

    As seen in police body camera video, with help from Alliance firefighters, officers were able to disassemble parts of the chair and eventually free the furry feline.

    “Not your typical police work, but they did a great job helping the family save the little thing,” the police department said in a Facebook post.

    According to police officials, the kitten is doing well after the rescue.
