The Vienna Vikings of the European League of Football have announced the signing of Elon University (NCAA Div. 1, FCS) defensive back Cole J. Coleman. The 24-year-old Coleman, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina and son of former North Carolina State and Tennessee Titans receiver Chris Coleman, spent five years (2018-2022) playing for the Elon University Phoenix . In his 42 games, he recorded 281 tackles including nine tackles for loss as well as three interceptions. He was named first team All Coastal Athletic Association conference in 2021 and earned multiple Defensive Player of the Week selections that same season.

ELON, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced that the Elon University women's tennis team earned the All-Academic Team Award, while five women's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. In 2024, 1,573 Division I Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 255 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction. The Phoenix earned the team award by maintaining a 3.63 GPA for the 2023-24 academic year. This marks the 19th consecutive year Elon has earned this team honor.
