A driver is in custody after leading authorities on a chase through multiple counties.It started in Dunn when U.S. Marshals tried to pull a Chevrolet Camaro. The suspect kept driving, leading authorities on a chase into Harnett County and then Cumberland County.The chase ended in Godwin where the suspect bailed and ran from the car.The driver was caught and taken into custody. ELON, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced that the Elon University women's tennis team earned the All-Academic Team Award, while five women's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. In 2024, 1,573 Division I Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 255 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction. The Phoenix earned the team award by maintaining a 3.63 GPA for the 2023-24 academic year. This marks the 19th consecutive year Elon has earned this team honor.
