Aberdeen is gearing up for its sixth annual Field to Fork event.

From 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 6, the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce will put on an event that brings farmers, ranchers and their food together with the people who purchase and consume it. For $50, guests will be treated to a night of locally-produced and grown foods and will get to interact with the producers who grew or created the products — all are from South Dakota.

The farm-to-table event is designed to create conversation between farmers and consumers. Farmers and ranchers will be standing by the tables where their products are displayed, ready to speak about modern farming techniques and whatever else the consumers want to know about food production.

Along with food stations where attendees can pick up scrumptious South Dakota-produced delicacies, there will be beverage stations, displaying locally-sourced South Dakota drinks.

Field to Fork, which started in 2019, will take place at Centennial Village at the Brown County fairgrounds. Tickets are available for the event at the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce .
