Emporia High football holds first practice of 2024 season
Monday was the first day high school teams could officially begin practicing for the fall season. Emporia High coach Kaden Glinsmann said everyone was excited to get started. Glinsmann said there are over 70 athletes out for football after having 81 check-out equipment before the summer. Jayhawks coach Lance Leipold confirmed Tuesday the electrifying but injury-prone quarterback had remained healthy through fall camp and would be ready for the game on Aug. 29. Daniels hurt his shoulder and missed half of their breakout 2022 season, then had a back injury that limited him to just three games last season.
