Albacore Park to break ground on new visitor center
PORTSMOUTH — Albacore Park, a National Historic Landmark Site and museum in Portsmouth, is expanding its visitor center. Thanks to generous funding provided by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, the Linn Foundation, and an anonymous donor, they are working on a building expansion that will double the size of Albacore Park’s visitor center.

The Water & Sewer Commissioners conducted a Public Hearing on the Water & Sewer rates on Thursday June 20, 2024. After consideration, the Water & Sewer Commissioners, based on analysis and recommendations from staff, voted that water rates will remain unchanged for the upcoming fiscal year 2025. However, to continue maintaining and improving our essential sewer infrastructure, sewer rates will see a modest increase of 2.5%. Under this model, the combined water and sewer costs for an average family (12,000 cubic feet per year) would be increased by 1.18% or $6.35 per quarter.
