    Anderson police ask for help identifying people of interest after 7 shot

    ANDERSON, Ind. — Detectives from the Anderson Police Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying multiple people of interest after seven individuals were shot at a large gathering in Anderson on Sunday.

    The Anderson Police Department was dispatched on July 21 to the 2200 block of Arrow Avenue on a report of a large gathering. When officers arrived, they found multiple people blocking the roadway and fighting. Gunfire soon erupted and hit individuals 18-25 years old.

    “It was absolute chaos,” Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings said. “There were over 80 rounds fired from at least five different weapons and seven people shot.”
