The high-resolution convective models indicate an increased chance of stronger thunderstorms over Eastern Coconino, Navajo, Apache, Northern Gila, and Northern Greenlee Counties, as depicted in the above image. The Arizona Weatherman is expecting thunderstorms between 12 pm and 8 pm with the potential of >60 mph winds, smaller hail, and possible localized flooding. The models indicate CAPEs in the 1,500 - 2,000+ range, LI -5 to -6 range, and DCAPE values over 1,400. Coupled with upper-level speed divergence. Therefore, expect the possibility of severe parameters that may impact the Mogollon Rim today.
