In October 2023, the Fall Classic — aka the World Series — took place at the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field .

This summer, the Midseason Classic is coming to Arlington.

On Tuesday, July 16, the best in baseball will take the diamond at the 2024 MLB All-Star Game , the first to go down at the home of the previous season’s World Series winner since 1934.

For the American League, stars Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Jose Altuve and Adley Rutschman are slated to start for Rangers manager Bruce Bochy.

Shohei Ohtani, Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, Christian Yelich and Fernando Tatis Jr. will power Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo’s National League squad.

Local stars Kirby Yates and Marcus Semien rep the Rangers.

The All-Star everyone is talking about though leading up to the big game is rookie phenom Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates. His selection makes him the first No. 1 pick to become an All Star the season after being drafted.
