Flooding prompts evacuations across the St. Louis region
NASHVILLE, Ill. (First Alert 4) - Heavy rain across the St. Louis region prompted evacuations across the St. Louis region Tuesday. Around 9 a.m. the Emergency Management Agency in Washington County, Illinois, reported that a secondary dam had failed but is designed to do so with high water levels. The department noted that the primary dam had not failed, but has overtopped with water.

ST. LOUIS — Two prominent former city officials who pleaded guilty to taking bribes from a local businessman have been released from federal prison. Federal prison records show former Aldermanic President Lewis Reed and former 21st Ward Alderman John Collins-Muhammad are in the custody of the St. Louis Residential Reentry Management field office. The office supervises people serving time on home confinement or in halfway houses.
