GALENA, Mo. (KCTV) - A Joplin kayaker is recovering after he fell overboard in a southern Missouri river and became trapped under a log which resulted in serious injury. The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, emergency crews were called to the James River near Baker Hole Rd., about one mile north of Galena, with reports of a kayaker who went overboard.
