    Interfaith Neighbors Awarded $50,000 Grant from Bank of America

    ASBURY PARK, NJ – Interfaith Neighbors (IFN) , a local non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the most vulnerable in securing life’s critical necessities and improving quality of life, has received a $50,000 grant from Bank of America . This substantial grant has been awarded to Interfaith Neighbors’ Launch Center, which operates various programs aimed at helping individuals achieve economic success and mobility in the Asbury Park and Neptune communities.

    The Launch Center offers a range of services, including a Help Desk, life coaching, small business coaching, capacity building for non-profits, the intensive career preparation course SOAR, and a new life and career skills training program for high schoolers called Young Masterminds. These initiatives are designed to assist individuals in reaching their personal and professional goals, ultimately enhancing economic mobility in the local area.

    “Bank of America has proven they are committed to driving change around longstanding economic inequities with their meaningful support of our work over the years,” says Chip Craig, Interfaith Neighbors Co-Executive Director and Chief Business Officer. “We appreciate Bank of America’s generous support and continued investment in improving economic mobility in the Asbury Park and Neptune communities through our Launch Center.”

    Interfaith Neighbors focuses on addressing the social determinants of health in the communities it serves, including access to safe and affordable housing and healthy food. The organization serves all of Monmouth County, with a special emphasis on the Westside neighborhood of Asbury Park. Its wide array of programs includes Meals on Wheels Monmouth County, Rental and Mortgage Assistance, the Kula Urban Farm, Affordable Housing, the Dr. Lorenzo Harris Jr. Early Childhood Learning Center, the Building Healthier, More Equitable Communities Initiative, and Community Outreach programs, alongside the Launch Center's offerings.

    “Working with Interfaith Neighbors to address important issues such as economic mobility demonstrates our commitment to creating positive, lasting change in Monmouth County,” said Alberto Garofalo, president, Bank of America New Jersey. “Our investments in New Jersey’s nonprofits like Interfaith Neighbors empower them with the necessary resources to build resilient communities for the future.”

    This grant is part of Bank of America's broader philanthropic efforts in local communities, selecting awardees based on their commitment to addressing the needs of individuals and families, including basic needs and workforce development.
