Georgia football has consistently put a high level of talent into the NFL year in and year out at multiple positions, including running back.

Two of those who particularly stand out are former Bulldogs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. The pair was ranked as the No. 15 playmaking duo of all time recently by 247Sports.

That put them directly behind QB Tommy Frazier and RB Ahman Green (Nebraska), and just ahead of QB J.J. McCarthy and RB Blake Corum (Michigan).

Here's a look at what the network's Brad Crawford had to say about Chubb and Michel:

"Former Georgia running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel signed with the Bulldogs in the same class, were teammates and best friends in Athens for four years, and helped lead the program to an SEC Championship, a Rose Bowl victory and an appearance in the national championship in 2017," he wrote. They also rank No. 2 and No. 3 in school history when it comes to rushing yardage. Bulldog legend Herschel Walker is the only player higher on that list. During his time at Georgia, Chubb carried the football 758 times for 4,769 yards and 44 touchdowns. He added 31 catches for 361 yards and four scores. He rushed for 1,000 yards in his freshman, junior and senior seasons and was on pace to make a run at 2,000 yards rushing in his sophomore campaign before a gruesome injury against Tennessee shortened his year to just seven games.

The injury bug bit Michel as a freshman, suffering a fractured shoulder blade and multiple other nagging injuries but he returned as a sophomore and rushed for 1,163 yards and became the team's feature back after Chubb went out. In total, Michel accumulated 590 carries for 3,613 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also had 64 catches for 621 yards and six scores as a receiver.

247Sports also listed Georgia defensive back Champ Bailey and Ron Bailey as the 37th best duo in the history of college football.

With more stars in the making, expect more Bulldog duos to join in as the years pass with multiple promising names in the fold alongside star quarterback Carson Beck in 2024.

Beck, along with defensive lineman Mykel Williams and safety Malaki Starks are all expected to be first-rounders in the 2025 NFL Draft.
