Georgia QB Carson Beck Turns Heads at SEC Media Days for Driving Comments

The Georgia Bulldogs have been in the news recently for driving arrests, which is a hot-button topic for the team at SEC Media Days.

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck discussed his driving habits since purchasing a Lamborghini.

“Obviously, my car is fast, 100 percent, but I don’t drive like an idiot.”

Beck's comments indicate that he shows some level of caution when he gets behind the wheel. The second-year starter implies that he's making an effort to meet the expectations head coach Kirby Smart has for players when driving on roadways.

Smart already informed the public about the consequences Georgia players face when they don't abide by the law. Action Network's Brett McMurphy shared that players could face fines for breaking laws.

Beck has a promising pro career ahead should he continue to develop. He faces a crucial season in 2024.

Many view the signal caller to be a top NFL draft prospect after a strong campaign in his first season as a starter.

In 2023, Beck completed 72.4% of passing attempts for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns. Another step forward could launch Beck into the Heisman race.

Georgia will open the season against the Clemson Tigers on Aug. 31.
