Georgia trending for four-star OL ahead of weekend announcement

Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview On300 offensive lineman Cortez Smith is excited to announce his college decision this weekend.

The four-star’s finalists are Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami and South Carolina.

“I’m looking to earn my way on a team that’s going to challenge me every day so I can grow into a bigger monster,” Smith said. “I truly believe I made the best decision.”

Georgia is on the On3 RPM favorite to land the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Smith.

“UGA is an awesome school outside of football,” Smith has highlighted in the past. “Coach (Kirby) Smart definitely demands greatness and it’s also O-line University.”

The On3 Industry ranks Smith as the nation’s No. 11 interior offensive lineman and No. 157 prospect overall. He ranks as the No. 9 interior offensive lineman and No. 155 player per On3.

Georgia is looking to add Smith to On3’s No. 3 ranked recruiting class .

Smith took his official visits to his four finalists with Georgia getting the last trip the weekend of June 21. He also visited Athens in February and April.
