Downtown Athens Amici closed 'until further notice,' restaurant says

Amici's downtown Athens location is closed until further notice, the restaurant's social media accounts said on Wednesday.

The location at 233 E. Clayton Street has been a staple in downtown Athens for 20 years, known for specialty pizza, wings and a vast beer and cocktail list.

"We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during this time. Stay tuned for updates, & thank you for your support!" Amici's post reads.

Amici The Falls in Watkinsville and Amici in Monroe are still operating as normal.

Amici has not responded to a request for comment from the Athens Banner-Herald.
