    Athens' boys compete at District track and field meet

    HILLIARD — The Athens’ boys track and field team competed at its Division II District meet at Hilliard Darby over the weekend. Despite it being the end of the season for a majority of the team, Athens was able to send one group of Bulldogs on to Regionals.

    Results

    In the 100 meter dash, Micah Heflin (11.26) finished seventh.

    In the 800 meter run, Alexander Wotschka (1:59.79) finished eighth.

    In the 3200 meter run, Prem Koshal (10:45.18) and Robert Layton (10:45.75) finished 18th and 19th respectively.

    In the 300 meter hurdles, Lucas Anglin (41.13) placed sixth.

    The 4x100 meter relay team of Heflin, Leo Martin, Griffin Porter and Anthony Sutton (43.04) set a school record while placing fourth, qualifying the team for Regionals.

    The 4x400 meter relay team of Anglin, Wotschka, Emerson Crowl and Sully Pelot (3:29.83) placed sixth.

    In the long jump, Ledger Free (18-9) and Griffin Porter (18-1) placed 21st and 23rd respectively.

    In the discus throw, Ari Campsey (99-2) finished 25th while Michael Skocich (83-7) placed 27th.

    In the shot put, Braylon Bacon (40-10.5) placed 15th while Kane Montgomery (32-10) finished in 23rd.
