Brittany Mahomes' Expected Due Date Could Bring Complication for Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes have not yet announced a due date for their third child, but past announcements suggest the potential for an untimely complication for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The couple took to Instagram on June 12 to announce that they are expecting a third child. The Chiefs quarterback and his wife shared some video outtakes from the photo shoot with their 3-year-old daughter Sterling Skye and 1-year-old son Patrick "Bronze" Lavon showing off ultrasound pictures of their soon-to-arrive sibling.

While the couple did not yet hint at a due date, their past announcements suggest that it could be sometime late this year or early in 2025. They announced the first pregnancy in September 2020, with Patrick arriving five months later in February.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes then announced on May 22, 2022, that they were expecting a second child. Their son was born close to six months later, in November of that year.

If they follow the same timeline as baby No. 2, their third child could arrive at what would be a critical juncture in the Chiefs season, either near the end of the regular season or start of the playoffs.

But past experiences could also be reassuring to Chiefs fans worried about whether Patrick Mahomes could be sidelined with dad duties. Brittany Mahomes was in attendance to cheer on her husband's win over the Los Angeles Rams on November 27, 2022, one day before she delivered their son.
