Ole Miss Head Coach Lane Kiffin Is Being Sued Over Social Media Post

SEC football has its fair share of characters at the head coaching position but nobody is quite like Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss.

He likes to poke and prod media members, other coaches, and even the Auburn fans once in a while. Well, he’s also being sued for his social media behavior.

According to David Eckert of the Clarion Ledger , Kiffin is being sued by Dr. Keith Bell. He is a swimming psychologist from Texas. Dr. Bell and Kiffin originally went through a potential legal battle in 2016 with Kiffin using a comment from Dr. Bell’s book Winning Isn’t Normal because the coach used a passage from the book on Twitter. After a cease-and-desist letter, Kiffin did take that particular tweet down.

This is Kiffin, however. He is now being sued again by Dr. Bell. Here is the key paragraph from the article defining why Kiffin is the topic of this discussion.

“On March 20, 2022, Kiffin's X account posted a photo of a seven-paragraph passage under the heading "WINNING ISN'T NORMAL." Bell's lawsuit claims the post is nearly an exact copy of a passage from Winning Isn't Normal.”

He is now being summoned to court in Oxford, Miss. Ole Miss is not yet commenting on the lawsuit according to Eckert.

To that end, it’s not surprising that Kiffin is in the middle of a social media battle going to court. He’s often a lightning rod with his comments and social media use and this is just another example of his peculiar behavior.
