On a recent On3 Recruiting episode , national host and producer Josh Newberg asked On3 Vice President Steve Wiltfong who he believes Texas has the best chance of landing out of its remaining five-star targets. Wiltfong's answer surprised Newberg, as he ranked them in the following order:

    1. S Jonah Williams
    2. ATH Michael Terry III
    3. OT Michael Fasusi
    4. WR Jaime Ffrench

Newberg expected Wiltfong to rank Fasusi #1 in the group, and Texas fans anxiously await his official commitment on August 21. However, Wiltfong made it clear that "this is a young man who is still going through his process."

Wiltfong elaborated that "Fasusi is as coveted a player in the country that's not a quarterback" and will continue to receive strong interest from other programs. Recently, it seems as though momentum has been building for Oklahoma in Fasusi's recruitment.

According to the On3 prediction machine, the order of likelihood of Texas landing these five-star recruits would vary significantly from Wiltfong's estimation. The following would be the site's rankings, including the percentage likelihood for Texas:

    1. ATH Michael Terry III (91.4%)
    2. OT Michael Fasusi (63.2%)
    3. WR Jaime Ffrench (57.2%)
    4. S Jonah Williams (1.0%)

After landing five-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett, the Longhorns have the 12th-ranked recruiting class for the 2025 cycle, per 247Sports. Landing any one of their remaining five-star targets would move the needle in a major way as Steve Sarkisian continues to build the future of the roster in the SEC.
