On Friday, the Boston Red Sox (61-52) enter a three-game weekend series against the Houston Astros (59-55). Going 3-2 since the last top prospect report, Boston is hopeful that that success can carry over into another week.

One of Boston's top prospects per MLB Pipeline finds himself on a hot streak of his own and will look to carry that over for another week. To find out which one, let's take a trip Down on the Farm!

Marcelo Mayer (#1 Prospect; #7 in MLB)

Marcelo Mayer, 21, has not played in a game in the last week due to his injury. The latest update, per Chris Hatfield of soxprospects.com , states that the Red Sox are hopeful that Mayer can return to action on Friday.

Roman Anthony (#2 Prospect; #14 in MLB)

Roman Anthony, 20, participated in four games over the last seven days. Anthony went 8-for-19 with one RBI and two steals. Over his last 10 games, he has batted .405/.479/.595 with four extra-base hits, eight RBI, and five steals, raising his season totals to .268/.366/.474 with 35 extra-base hits, 39 RBI, and 16 steals in 81 games.

The young outfielder seems to have hit a groove over the last week and looks to close out the stretch on a hot streak.

Kyle Teel (#3 Prospect; #24 in MLB)

While Anthony has been hot over the last week, Kyle Teel, 22, has hit a small rough patch. Playing in five games over the last seven days, Teel went 4-for-16 with two extra-base hits, two RBI, and two steals. He has batted .212/.356/.364 over his last 10 games with three extra-base hits, six RBI, and two steals.

Teel's rough patch over the last two weeks has seen his season line drop to .292/.387/.448 with 29 extra-base hits, 58 RBI, and nine steals over 82 games. Teel has had a spectacular season to this point, so the Red Sox believe that he will be able to find his way out of this slump and get back on track.
