Joel Klatt Ranks Utah As Best Big 12 Team In Preseason Rankings

Joel Klatt has been high on Utah throughout the offseason. The respected name in CFB media has given high marks to Kyle Whittingham's program regarding every aspect of the team and their chances in the Big 12, and his hype train continues to roll on as the Utes made the top 10 in his preseason top 25 rankings.

When reviewing Utah's ranking, On3 Sports' Matt Connolly said, "The first Big 12 team to appear on Klatt’s preseason college football top 25 is Utah. The Utes were consistently contenders in the Pac-12 and are expected to carry that over into the Big 12."

He continued, saying "It was a bit of a disappointing season for Kyle Whittingham‘s club in 2023 as Utah had inconsistent quarterback play and finished the year 8-5. However, with QB Cam Rising now back healthy, they are the favorites in the Big 12 heading into the 2024 season."

If these were the official preseason rankings, Utah would start the season 7 spots ahead of the next Big 12 team, Kansas State, 8 spots ahead of Oklahoma State, 11 spots ahead of Kansas, and 12 spots ahead of Arizona.
