The New York Mets (61-54) look to build upon their two-game winning streak with a series-opening win on Friday against the Seattle Mariners (60-56). Friday continues the Metropolitan's west coast trip, with six games remaining over the next seven days.

The Mets will turn to lefty Jose Quintana (6-7, 3.95 ERA) on Friday. In his last start, he allowed three earned runs on three hits and four walks while striking out four in five innings. The veteran will look to keep the Mariners offense subdued on Friday, and is hoping to gain another quality start in the process.

Here is how the Mets will line up on Friday:

    1.) SS Francisco Lindor
    2.) LF Brandon Nimmo
    3.) RF Jesse Winker
    4.) 1B Pete Alonso
    5.) DH J.D. Martinez
    6.) 2B Jeff McNeil
    7.) 3B Mark Vientos
    8.) C Francisco Alvarez
    9.) CF Harrison Bader

    SP Jose Quintana

The Mariners will counter with Bryce Miller (8-7, 3.62 ERA). In his last start, he allowed four earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four in 4 1/3 innings. Miller's repertoire includes a four-seam fastball, sinker, splitter, sweeper, slider, knuckle curve, and cutter. He leans on his four-seam fastball heavily, throwing it 43.6 percent of the time but turns to his sinker the most in put-away situations at 25.3 percent.

Here is how the Mariners will line up on Friday:

    1.) CF Victor Robles
    2.) LF Randt Arozarena
    3.) C Cal Raleigh
    4.) 1B Justin Turner
    5.) DH Mitch Garver
    6.) 3B Dylan Moore
    7.) RF Mitch Haniger
    8.) 2B Ryan Bliss
    9.) SS Leo Rivas

    SP Bryce Miller

    How to Watch

The first pitch for Friday's game is scheduled for 10:10 PM EST. The game will be broadcast nationally on MLB Network (out-of-market only) as well as SNY and ROOTNW.

Mets fans can listen to the game on WCBS 880 or WINS 92.3 FM HD2.
