Head coach Todd Bowles alluded that since the joint practices follow a strict plan, and most of the starters will see a heavy dose of practice, it's unlikely starters will suit up against the Jaguars this Saturday.
The last game of the preseason schedule comes against the Miami Dolphins where there's a higher chance the important players will get some snaps.
"Depending on how much work we get in Jacksonville during the practice week, I'm leaning towards the third game because we'll have two weeks to get ready for the game," said Bowles.
Bowles also mentioned in the press conference that some of the standout players in the first preseason game may get a start this week and that it will depend on how practice goes this week.
Some players who played most of the snaps in the game against the Bengals include guard Elijah Klein and second-year safety Christian Izien. After playing cornerback all of last year, Izien played most of the game in safety. Klein could provide depth for the Bucs offensive line after guard Sua Opera injured his knee the first week of camp and will be out for the year.
