Colorado's The Talk Of College Football After Preseason AP Top-25 Revealed
By Max Escarpio,

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes may be marching into the 2024-25 college football season with high hopes, but the latest AP Poll doesn't show much confidence in the Buffs.
Colorado is unranked in the AP Top 25 preseason poll despite having two of the game's biggest stars, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.
The Buffs received one vote in the Top 25 and are now heading into the season as the No. 42 ranked team in the nation.
College football fans seemed to agree with Colorado being left off the Top 25. Some fans are bashing the individual who even voted for the Buffaloes to make a list, while others are simply relieved that CU is on the outside looking in.
The Buffaloes finished the 2023-24 season with a 4-8 record. While they vastly improved from their 1-11 record from the 2022-23 season, fans are still waiting for a bigger jump in the standings from the Deion Sanders-led team.
Colorado will begin the season on Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. ET against North Dakota State, where Sanders and company will have a chance to start their climb into the Top 25.
While Sanders has been vocal about the Buffs' urgency to win, he believes their first matchup will be a tough one.
"They're accustomed to winning," Sanders said. "They don't give a d*** about being at home or on the road. That doesn't faze them whatsoever. It's going to be a phenomenal game. Phenomenal matchup. But that program is second to none."
Sanders and Colorado's road to improvement starts this month. Fans have been joking about their roster's talent and the high expectations they garner, but the Buffs will attempt to have the last laugh later this year.
