The college football season is approaching, and the Associated Press (AP) has unveiled its preseason top 25, sparking excitement among fans weeks before the opening games.

AP's top 10 went as follows:

    1. Georgia Bulldogs
    2. Ohio State Buckeyes
    3. Oregon Ducks
    4. Texas Longhorns
    5. Alabama Crimson Tide
    6. Ole Miss Rebels
    7. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
    8. Penn State Nittany Lions
    9. Michigan Wolverines
    10. Florida State Seminoles

There wasn't much debate on who the No. 1 team should be, as only three teams received votes: Georgia, Ohio State and Oregon. Georgia had the most votes by far, with 46, while Ohio State received 15 and Oregon received one.

Still, that didn't stop fans from being upset. One fan believed that the Longhorns were snubbed as the top team. They said, "Texas (is) too low. They should be number one. Very large gap between them and the rest of college football. The national title is theirs."

Another felt Texas' in-state rival, Texas Tech Red Raiders, was snubbed of a spot.

There is mixed sentiment about Florida State's ranking, with some feeling the Seminoles should be higher and others believing they are too high.

Others have expressed their opinions on teams they believe are overrated every season.

It wasn't all bad for the Associated Press; several people agreed with the rankings.
