The Official AP Poll is Out: Where Are Texas A&M Aggies Ranked?

College football season is nearly upon the Texas A&M Aggies as they get set to begin a brand new era in College Station led by new head coach Mike Elko .

In perhaps the most glaring sign yet that the season is about to be here, the Associated Press released the first official preseason AP Poll , and to the surprise of very few, the Aggies made the cut. Texas A&M comes in at No. 20 on the rankings list, a number that is fairly consistent with what many other preseason polls have looked like including the USA Today Coaches Poll , where the Aggies also came in at No. 20.

It's a great place for the team to be in. While the expectations are not sky high, the team is considered both relevant and talented enough to play with anyone in the country. Elko can play the 'disrespect' card with his locker room while at the same time fans can be excited that a team that won just seven games in 2023 gets enough of a benefit of the doubt to be ranked once again.
