Alabama is projected to rank as one of the top programs entering the 2024 season, even with Nick Saban longer coaching them.

However, the top story in college football all year long, thus far, is where Alabama stands among the other top schools with Kalen DeBoer as the new head coach. Most questions are unanswerable until they are tested during the regular season.

The most common questions asked regard Alabama's schedule and if they can repeat the winning ways Saban did during his legendary tenure.

Obviously, there is no coach in the sport who can fill the shoes of the greatest of all time, but that doesn't mean the Tide will not still be a successful program who competes for championships at the highest level.

Josh Pate , host of his show 'Late Kick' on CBS, weighed in on Alabama's 2024 schedule and gave his best case scenario, worst case scenario, and what the realistic scenario is for Alabama's 2024 campaign.

"This is a hard schedule. They play six teams in the Top-25 odds, over at FanDuel," said Pate."In the JP Poll (his personal rankings) they play five of my Top-15 teams and this road stretch is no joke. They go to Wisconsin, they go to Tennessee, they go to LSU, they go to Oklahoma a week before they play the Iron Bowl... they have BYE's before Georgia and LSU, but Georgia and LSU also have BYE's, so there's no situational advantage here."

Pate went on to express what he thinks their best and worst-case scenario is for the 2024 season.

"So this is not an easy schedule at all. They're best case? I got them going 11-1 this year. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I do think that with the transition, even as bright as I am in a lot of it, there has got to be a loss in there somewhere, even in the best of cases. The worst case, because of the transition and because of, maybe, the lack of quality depth across the board, and because of the difficulty of schedule, I got a 7-5."

Pate, on record in this video, talks about the fact he is very bright on DeBoer and the current team. He even has tweeted what he has seen within the talent within the current roster.

We truly will not have answers on who Alabama really is until the big tests come along during the season, which will define this team. However, the roster is there, the talent is there, and they have a statistically winning coach to lead them this season.
