Jets Players Respond to Haason Reddick's Holdout, Trade Request

If Haason Reddick was hoping his trade request would spur the New York Jets into action regarding his contract holdout, the last 12 hours have been anything but assured for the All-Pro.

General manager Joe Douglas put out a statement just 30 minutes after Reddick's camp leaked his trade demands with the confirmation the Jets would not move the pass rusher under any circumstances.

Now, players are beginning to speak out. And not in the way Reddick was hoping for.

Over the last month, the Jets have had a business-like approach to training camp and their preparation for the 2024 season. The locker room is not changing on that thought any time soon.

“I was looking forward to seeing him and getting to know him in person but unfortunately it hasn’t happened," Jets defensive captain C.J. Mosley said on WFAN this morning. "When it does we’ll be ready to greet him with open arms.”

Mosley has been the vocal leader of New York's defense for the last few years now. He's also been a key part in changing the locker room culture of the organization where distractions like these won't play a key role in the team's preparation.

    At least right now.

As the 2024 season gets closer, and Reddick gets more and more desperate to find a deal that best suits his talents, the Jets and their roster don't seem to be budging at all.

The locker room appears fully behind the front office at this time too.
