The Jimbo Fisher era in College Station, Tex. has ended. Former Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Elko has taken his place.

Elko previously served as the Aggies' defensive coordinator before spending the past two years at Duke. He will have his work cut out for him, as the Aggies have gone 12-13 in the last two seasons. However, the preseason AP Top 25 rankings showed optimism for the Aggies this year, ranking them at No. 20. This has caused some mixed feelings.

A caller on The Paul Finebaum Show told the SEC Network analyst they felt the Aggies were overrated. Finebaum said the Aggies have a very tough schedule, and he thinks Elko is overvalued in terms of what he did a few years ago at Texas A&M and what he will do this year. That's why Finebaum thinks the Aggies won't win more than eight games this season.

"I think that they could get to eight," Finebaum said. "I don't think they can get beyond eight."

According to Finebaum, one thing working in the Aggies' favor is that their toughest games are at home. The Aggies will play four top 13 teams this season: Notre Dame, Missouri, LSU and Texas, all at home.

As for Texas A&M's most challenging road game, Finebaum mentioned that the game against the Florida Gators, scheduled as the season's third game, is seen as a toss-up.

So, things won't be easy for Elko and company in Year 1.
