Taylor Swift Effect: Chiefs No. 1 NFL Team Around Globe; America?
By Richie Whitt,

Win a Super Bowl and you get to go to Disneyworld. Capture back-to-back championships and that team dominates the NFL. But what does being perched for an unprecedented third Super Bowl get the Kansas City Chiefs ?
South America and Greenland, apparently.
Evidenced by its global impact and proliferation of regular-season games in England, Germany and this year Brazil, the NFL is growing in popularity worldwide. But in an effort to pinpoint who and where, the analytics geeks at Google have dug through all the searches and assigned an NFL team to almost every country on the planet.
Given their success, the popularity of Patrick Mahomes and the direct link to global pop icon Taylor Swift, it's kind of shocking that at this point the world map isn't blanketed by the Chiefs. Alas, Kansas City actually owns only all of South America and Greenland, Germany and most of South Africa.
Despite not winning a Super Bowl in 28 years, the Dallas Cowboys are the first sports franchise to be valued at more than $10 billion. They remain "America's Team," No. 1 in the United States and Mexico, but also in huge countries such as India and China. They are also the most popular team in big chunks of Africa, including Sudan, Egypt and Libya. Jerry Jones' empire also stretches to Saudi Arabia.
The Buffalo Bills dominate Canada, Kazakhstan and the Norwegian trifecta of Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Some of the global popularity oddities:
*The Miami Dolphins are No. 1 in England.
*The Denver Broncos own Australia.
*Mongolia belongs to the Cleveland Browns.
*The Green Bay Packers are No. 1 in only one country: Côte d'Ivoire, a small section of western Africa sandwiched between Mali and Nigeria.
*While the Chiefs are No. 1 in most of South Africa, eight different teams pop up in Africa.
