Week 1 of the preseason in the books for the Las Vegas Raiders, and their first round draft pick tight end Brock Bowers.

For fans and coaches it was the first full look at Bowers in live action, and gave a glimpse into how the Raiders will utilize the unique talent Bowers has. It turns out people have liked what they've seen from the small sample size, Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report is saying to "buy" Bowers in your fantasy league.

"As the lead tight end for the Raiders, Bowers could post low-end TE1 numbers with O'Connell or Minshew under center."

The most interesting thing from the debut of Bowers against the Vikings was when he was lined up at fullback, whether he was being used as a lead blocker or a pass catching threat out of the backfield. It's a creative way to get both Michael Mayer and Bowers onto the field at the same time.

The fact that Bowers is being used as a fullback is just increasing his time on the field which in turn obviously creates more opportunities for points in fantasy.

Bowers will also be used in the slot, allowing him to work as a security blanket for both Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell whether that be underneath or across the middle, as Moton also pointed out.

"The rookie first-rounder caught two passes from Aidan O'Connell. When Bowers left the game with most of the starters, the backup tight ends saw targets from Gardner Minshew."

While Minshew wasn't throwing to Bowers directly it's clear that he's utilizing the position when in the game.

Bowers can provide a lot of value in fantasy once the top heavy tight end position starts to thin out, you may be able to get him in some of the later round. Especially if you don't have Raiders fans in your fantasy league.
