One of the most electrifying receivers in college football history is calling it a career after nine seasons in the NFL.

Ex-West Virginia star Tavon Austin, who suited up for four different professional teams, decided to hang up the cleats on Tuesday. He last played in the league for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021.

Austin initially entered the NFL with the St. Louis Rams after being selected eighth overall in 2013. He played with the franchise for two years following their relocation to Los Angeles as well before stints with the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and Jaguars.

Here's what Austin had to say in his Instagram post:

At West Virginia, Austin put up eye-popping numbers. In 52 college games, he reeled in 288 catches for 3,413 yards and 29 touchdowns. Unfortunately, he wasn't as dominant at the pro level, collecting 221 receptions for 2,034 yards.

Several current NFL stars commented on Austin's post, including Derrick Henry, Tank Dell, and AJ Brown.

Best of luck to Austin in his next chapter.
