The Atlanta Braves (62-56) and San Francisco Giants (61-60) hope game two holds as much excitement as game one. More runs might be nice, though.

Last night , Atlanta pitched its 13th shutout (tied for league lead) in a 10-inning pitcher's duel that the Braves came out on top of, 1-0. The Giants had no answers for veteran lefty Chris Sale, and it was more dominance on the other side of the mound by Blake Snell.

The Braves, who entered this four-game series in San Francisco on a 1-7 stretch, will take wins in any form or fashion. It will ask Charlie Morton (6-7, 4.47) to find a way to get it done versus Kyle Harrison (6-5, 4.08) on Tuesday in another late game.

40-year-old Morton is looking to bounce back amidst a roller coaster of a season. Last time out was one of his worst performances of the season – eight runs allowed on four homers in 2.2 innings versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Morton has now allowed multiple homers in four of his last six starts dating back to the beginning of July.

The 17-year MLB veteran is matching up with a 23-year-old rookie. Harrison, the second of three left-handed starters the Braves will face in this series, is looking to complete five innings for the first time this month in his third try after lasting the minimum in three of four starts in July. His latest outing was 4.2 innings of two-run ball with three Ks and no walks versus the Washington Nationals.

The Braves hope to get back to the offense that scored 24 runs on 36 hits over the weekend versus the Colorado Rockies, while building on the momentum from yesterday's pitching performance in order to get in sync and string together consecutive wins for the first time in 10 days.

Matchups between the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, August 13:

Here’s how the Braves' lineup fares against today's opposing starting pitcher:

    1B Matt Olson

    C Travis d'Arnaud

    SS Orlando Arcia

    RF Ramón Laureano

    2B Whit Merrifield

    CF Eli White

Harrison has never faced the Braves. Atlanta will appreciate facing a lefty starter that is not named Blake Snell, as they hit lefties at a .252/.316/.431 clip this season.

Although, the surprising move is that Adam Duvall isn't in the lineup. Duvall is a normal in the lineup versus lefties (slugging .490 vs. LHP), but he's missing from an outfield that instead consists of Soler in left field, Eli White in center and Ramón Laureano getting his fifth start in six games (held out Sunday as a precaution with a sore heel) playing right field despite dropping several routine fly balls in the past month.
