Heather Dinich Officially Makes Her Preseason College Football Title Pick

College football analysts Heather Dinich and Paul Finebaum stopped by the GetUp set on Wednesday morning, where Mike Greenberg asked for their national title selections for the 2024 season.

He posed the question: Georgia or the field for the national title? And if the field, then who from the field can unseat the recent two-time champion?

"Listen, I'll go out on a limb here and I'll take the field," Dinich answered. "You know why? The field is so much bigger! This is a 12-team College Football Playoff, we're talking about Texas, Oregon, Ohio State. This is a gauntlet."

Dinich added that she's even spoken to Kirby Smart about just how it's tough to set yourself up well in the playoff unless you win the SEC.

"If you play in the SEC Championship game and you lose, you're in a BAD spot trying to move forward and win four straight games after suffering a really devastating loss in your conference title game," she noted.

However, when forced to select one team to win it all, Dinich took a surprising turn.

"Of course, how can I pick against Georgia," she told Greenberg when asked if the Bulldogs were the selection.

So, Georgia gets the nod from Heather Dinich, although she warns that the Bulldogs don't have a cakewalk to the title. They'll have to win the SEC just to get a bye, and if they don't, they'll have quite a challenge running off four straight to win it all.
